Travis N. Parashonts, a member of the Cedar Band of Paiutes, is the President and founder of Suh’dutsing Technologies. Parashonts’ leadership has driven Suh’dutsing Technologies’ culture of innovation, expanded the company into new markets, and extended the company’s technology portfolio. In 2008, Ernst & Young named Parashonts as the Entrepreneur of the Year for building and leading a dynamic and growing business.Prior to founding Suh’dutsing Technologies, Parashonts was the Director of Economic Development and Grant Writer for the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah, responsible for marketing tribal assets, developing feasibility studies, exploring economic development opportunities, and writing proposals for federal contracts and grants. He is familiar with contract negotiations, managing large federal contracts, cost analysis, and federal regulations. Previously, he held key positions within the Paiute Indian Tribe including the position as the Social Services Representative. Additionally, he worked as the Director of Indian Affairs for the State of Utah and the State of Utah Office of Family Support. Prior to that, he owned and operated Parashonts Construction, Inc and created Neung-Weunts-Wook-ahd Corporation, a Tribal Economic Development Corporation for the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah.
Parashonts has over 17 years of experience serving in various tribal chairman and council leadership roles. Parashonts holds a BA degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Southern Utah State College, certificates in Gerontology and Social Work, and completed courses toward a Masters of Social Work and Masters of Public Administration from the University of Utah and Utah State University. Parashonts is a graduate of Milford High School in 1972.
